Purple Peace

I’ve had this photo lying around for a while but for some reason didn’t think to post it here. Last year (August 2009) I went camping in Big Sur for the weekend. I wanted to get one of the classic silky water/rocks/ocean photos but the beach I picked out wasn’t all that conducive to that shot. I did end up with some gorgeous sunset photos, and this was the best one. It was taken on Pfieffer Beach just after sunset. I forgot to take my polarizer off after trying to do the silky water and I ended up with this wonderful photo! For my trip I had to borrow a friends Nikon D70; my D300s hadn’t arrived yet and my D80 was in the shop getting the sensor re-aligned.

I’ve got a couple pieces of ”big” news (ok, not so big, but it is exciting).
1) My graphic design friend made me a logo for my website/photos. You’ll see the new logo sporting in the lower right corner. Thoughts? Good? Bad? Too childish looking?

2) I’ve launched my new photo website, www.aaronmphotography.com. I’ve been using SmugMug for a while but I decided to open a new Pro account and start selling some of my photos. I’ll be posting my good photos on the new website, for sale, if anyone is interested in purchasing prints!
