I never wanted to go to Africa until my friend came back from a Safari in Tanzania with some amazing photos. It would take considerable time and a lot of money to get to Africa just for a Safari but fortunately I live in the best place in the world (Northern California) where literally everything is within 3 hours, including Africa

I have no clue how I found out about this but somehow I heard about an African Safari in the middle of Sonoma Valley (wine country) We finally found a weekend that was free and drove up to Santa Rosa to enjoy the Safari West African Safari. Its a 400 acre animal preserve with hundreds of animals including rhinos, giraffes, antelope, zebras, monkeys, cheetahs, flamingos and much much more Not only are there tons of animals but they drive you around in authentic Safari Jeeps It was a pretty impressive place.

Part of the tour takes you on a walking tour of their monkeys, birds and other smaller animals. There was a cage of monkeys that had just had a newborn monkey born a couple weeks (maybe a month or two) earlier. The baby monkey was absolutely ADORABLE, running around playing, jumping on his moms back (and trying to cuddle). I happened to be lucky enough to have my camera up and ready when he started playing with the lock on the cage, which brings me to the title of this photo; thought this was too interesting to pass up because this photo is so ironic.
